Baltimore Grand Prix branding. This was a great project to work on. The rare instance when a client gives you full license to do what you think is right. This very first illustration was the springboard for the logo, basing it off of the yellow road stripes peeling off of the road behind the car. We wanted something that looked fast and sleek and modern. Pulling from some of the sophistication of F1 race design, Art Director Mary Quick and I ended up with a very clean and minimal ribbon of a logo. The font Interstate lent a subtly recognizable and masculine font to balance out the gentle line work of the logo.
In all, the project entailed logo and branding packages, car wrap, web site, banners, print and radio.
